February – The Month of Em

In honor of Emily’s legacy, we are declaring February as the Month of Em—a time to celebrate her life, remember her courage, and continue the work she would have been doing herself. February is a significant month for Em: it's the month she was born, the month she was diagnosed with DIPG, and the month she died. We invite you to join us in honoring her all month long.
Monday, February 10th:
Valentine Cards & Goodie Bags
Emily’s Maryland cousins and students at the grade school she attended, Madrona K-8, are making 100 Valentine cards and filling bags with goodies to deliver to Seattle Children’s Hospital.
-----
Panda Express Fundraiser (Virtual Event)
Let’s gather together for dinner in Emily’s honor. (Em’s favorite meal was a double order of honey sesame chicken (no rice)). Details to come on how you can participate virtually!
Friday, February 14th:
Emily’s Birthday
A special day to remember and celebrate the incredible person Emily was and the impact she continues to have on our hearts.
Sunday, February 23rd:
Emily’s Birthday Bash
Join us in person at Brigid's Bottleshop in Edmonds, WA from 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM to celebrate Emily’s birthday. We’re honored to welcome Dr. Nick Vitanza, Emily’s friend and pediatric neuro-oncologist at Seattle Children’s Hospital, as our special guest speaker. More details to come, mark your calendar!
We hope you’ll join us as we honor Emily and the bright light she was in the world. 💜
